Michele L. Montgomery is an American writer of GLBT fiction. Her available works include Lethal Obsession: Tony & Ryan, Lethal Obsession: Caged, Lies of Omission, DAMMIT!, and X Bar. She wrote River of Tears, a work of Contemporary fiction.
Michele runs a review site called Top 2 Bottom Reviews. She lives in Colorado surrounded by the beautiful wonders of the mountains, her family, and her pets. Abby is a Golden Retriever, and Skyler is a Chesapeake Bay retriever who should have been named Linus because he drags a blanket around with him wherever he goes.
Michele has a very serious on-going relationship with her coffee pot, which keeps her company from the time she gets up until the time she goes to bed, and to fill in the gaps, she is obsessed with KitKats, Twix, and Haribo Gummy Bears.
A little about me:
I live in a place where I allow my imagination to rule me. I have lived most all of my life wondering-- 'What If?' Things just sort of go from there. I have more fun sitting in front of my computer getting lost in my "characters' lives" than riding a roller coaster. Then again, I love playing the Sims too...something in common there?
It's funny but when a writer says they get their ideas from everywhere, they are telling you the truth. I can sit in a restaurant, a bar, or the airport and out of nowhere an idea hits me, just by watching the people. I can sit and come up with a story about his/her life right then. I can imagine what he/she is doing there at that moment and the next second I'm jotting down the plot and ignoring (not on purpose) the people I'm with. When the people I'm with see me bent over the table with pen and paper, they all stop talking until I'm done because they know they'll get nothing from me until I've laid the pen to rest.
Inspiration is defined as s of the mind or emotions to a high level of feeling or activity. And let me tell you, that my mind is always in overdrive. I love to create a story and get lost in its hold, in my character's lives. I get going on it and let me tell you, I get so caught up in it that it's what I'm thinking of when I go to bed, and it's what I'm thinking of when I open my eyes. Honestly, someone needs to invent a way for me to write while in the shower. I don't know that I know how not to think about the story I'm working with for a day. I can't take a day off, because really it feels as if I'll just explode if I can't get it out. Basically, once I'm working with an idea, I stay lost until that idea is down and in the form of a manuscript, and ready to be read. I am so blessed to have been given a Muse; she keeps me going even when I don't think I can go anymore.
Most of the time you can catch me sitting at my computer with my Zune going, and believe it or not, nine times out of ten I can't tell you what's playing. If someone puts the TV on, and I can see it, I'm a lost cause. However, there is a bright side to that; I bet I will come up with another idea for another story.
So, if anything that I write touches you in any way, and it leaves you thinking, then I can say I’ve done my job. And if you’d like, you’re welcome to send me an email, I’d love to hear from you.

News and What I'm Up To
And as I'm working on Lethal Obsession: Just Breathe and learning the ropes on how to write with another person on Google docs, I've been working on another story titled: Silent Tears. It's about two brothers Colby and Drake. Drake was disposed of by their father, Colby was sold when he was twelve. What follows are the harrowing details from the time Colby was sold to the time he murdered the man who bought him. He's on trial for manslaughter, he has one of the country's most demanding defense attorney's on his side. Will Colby and his lawyer build a case to prove his innocence and who hired the top lawyer to take Colby's case?

In other news I have taken a step outside of my safety zone and wrote a short M/F Erotica D/s story. It's the first in a series of shorts starring McKayla and Kurt. They love to have "play dates" and each short will take you on a new scene/date.
Lethal Obsession: Deserted
Update: Working on Carl/Brent's story as we speak. This is being co-written by Seth Azzarello. Which is followed by Sebastian and Josh's story. Then, then, then. I also have pulled together a group of talented authors in an anthology titled "Lost and Found." Keep your eyes posted for news and information on that. I also have three other WIP's going on, so who knows what'll hit the stands next. Stay tuned.
Happy to report Lethal Obsession: Deserted....I have to tell you this story is a fighter...I've decided to self publish this simply because the other two have been. In saying that, it is now with an editor and will hopefully see the light of day very soon.
Here is the final cover!!
Lost and Found
Back in 2012 I came across a picture on Facebook, it resembles this one in fact. I was chatting to another author about putting together an anthology based on America's homeless GLBT youth and how many of them end up homeless and hooked on drugs, becoming prostitutes so they can eat. It's a sad society that allows this to happen to our children, regardless of their sexual orientation.
I am very happy to announce that the idea came to life and I, along with several other authors put together stories based on this very issue and we submitted it to Featherlight Press, a division of MLR Press. They took it on and the editor Kris Jacen found us a well deserved organization to donate all of our royalties to. They are called: Lost n Found and based out of Atlanta Georgia. As you can see they are the ONLY organization which offers our GLBT youth what they need. If you read through the site you'll see where you can donate monthly to them, even $5.00 a month helps. They also have an Amazon Wish List and here's that link: Amazon. Anything you can do to help them keep that place up and running and helping our youth would be greatly appreciated.
Expect to see the anthology both in e-book and print this June.
